Well, friends...
Remember when I told you October was going to be busy?
Apparently October heard me and said, “Oh, you have NO idea.” 😂
Saturday was the Goose Creek Fall Festival, and despite the weather doing its very best to wash Nana's Attic away, we had a pretty good day!
We had clouds and humidity.
We had rain.
We had MORE rain.
We had a few more clouds and a lot of humidity...
...and then we had the kind of rain that makes you seriously reconsider all of your life choices while standing underneath a pink canopy surrounded by nearly 200 crocheted stuffed animals. 😂
But you know what?
Twenty-Seven Nana's Attic creations found new homes!
And for that, I am incredibly grateful. ❤️
☔ Behind the Scenes: The Part You Don't See
Craft shows aren't quite over when the show ends.
Especially when everything comes home WET.
The past few days have included drying the canopy, drying tables, checking tubs, unpacking stuffed animals, repacking stuffed animals...
At one point, my front porch looked less like a porch and more like a crochet rescue operation. 😂
And yes—I even made a little video of the aftermath because sometimes you just have to laugh.
🧶 Meanwhile...Nana Kept Crocheting
Because apparently the logical response to having nearly 200 crocheted items in your house is to...
make more crocheted items. 😂
I've been working on some smaller goodies for the upcoming shows, including little ghost keychains.
I managed to make five—and I have enough of the right-sized keychain rings to make five more.
After that?
That's it. Nana is OUT. 😂
Finding the right little keychain hardware has turned into its own adventure!
📍 What's Next for Nana's Attic?
Normally, I'd be telling you that Nana's Attic is headed to Moss Grove Plantation this Saturday, October 10.
But after last weekend's soaking, I'm keeping a VERY close eye on the weather before I put all of those stuffed animals—and myself!—back underneath a tent again. ☔😂
There are still plenty of opportunities to visit Nana's Attic this fall, though, including another event coming up the following weekend.

It's only the first full week of October, and we've already had a soggy craft show, twenty-Seven adoptions, a porch full of drying equipment, ghost keychains multiplying on my worktable, and Nana watching the weather forecast like it's her new full-time job. 😂
In other words...
Business as usual around here.
Thank you for following along with all the craziness, supporting my little handmade business, and giving so many of my creations wonderful homes.
Now I'm going back to my crochet hook.
Because apparently I don't know how to sit still. 😂
