Facial Features (Felt & iron-on vinyl)
The Forest Nut Dollβs mouth is not crocheted.
After extensive testing, felt or vinyl provides the most consistent results.
- Eye whites: white felt
- Pupils: black vinyl or felt
- Mouth: black felt
Attach facial features after the head is completed.
The Whites of the eyes are white felt and the black is iron-on vinyl or felt; The mouth is black felt. Attach mouth after stuffing the head, centering it below the eyes.
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Eyes = White:1 in / 2.54 cm by .75 in / 1.905 cm;
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Round black: 0.58 in / 1.47 cm (vinyl iron-on)
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Mouth = 2 in / 5.08 cm by 1 in / 2.54 cm
Optional: Mouth may be embroidered if preferred; results may vary.
After extensive testing, a crocheted or embroidered mouth did not provide consistent results on this design. For the best appearance, the mouth is applied as a flat felt and vinyl piece, either:
- cut using a Cricut, or
- hand-cut
- Resize as needed to fit your dolls face
