🌸 Violet Woolsey Learns to Love Her Colors

Dawn Walker

Meet Violet Woolsey the Sheep

Violet Woolsey was new to the attic.

She had just been placed there by Nana Dawn, who gently set her beside Leo the Lion near the window.

The attic was warm and cozy, filled with soft yarn, wooden beams, and friendly faces.

But even in such a lovely place…

Violet felt unsure.

A Little Different

Violet looked down at her wool.

It wasn’t one simple color like she expected.

Instead, it was full of soft loops in pink, violet, and white.

She noticed the other attic friends.

Leo’s mane was golden.
Benny’s stripes were bright and bold.
Valentina’s tutu was soft and pink.

Everyone seemed to have their own look.

But Violet wondered…

“Do I look… too different?”

She sat very still, trying not to draw attention to her colorful wool.

A Gentle Question

Leo noticed Violet sitting quietly.

He stepped a little closer.

“Are you alright?” he asked gently.

Violet hesitated, then looked down again.

“My wool doesn’t match,” she said softly.

“It’s all mixed together.”

A Field of Flowers

Coral the Starfish Pillow spoke kindly from her place near the trunk.

“Have you ever seen a field of flowers?” she asked.

Violet shook her head.

“In a flower field,” Coral said, “you’ll see pink flowers, violet flowers, and white flowers growing side by side.”

“They don’t match,” Terry added with a smile, “but they’re still beautiful.”

Valentina nodded.

“Together, they make something wonderful.”

Learning to Shine

Violet looked at her wool again.

Pink loops.
Violet loops.
White loops.

She imagined a field of flowers swaying gently in the breeze.

Maybe…

Maybe her colors weren’t wrong.

Maybe they were special.

A small smile began to form.

“I think I like my colors,” she said.

Leo smiled warmly.

“We do too.”

The sunlight streamed through the attic window, wrapping the room in a soft golden glow.

And for the very first time, Violet Woolsey felt something new.

She felt proud.

And sometimes, being different is exactly what makes you shine.

Gentle Lesson for Little Readers

Sometimes we may feel different from others.

But just like a field of flowers, all those differences come together to make something beautiful.

You are special just the way you are.
