February in the Attic: love, puppies & new stories 💗

Dawn Walker

Hello sweet friend,

February has certainly made itself known here in the Attic! ❄️
Like so many across the Southeast, we felt that freezing cold snap and even got a little snow here — about 2 inches in our area. Just a couple hours north in Myrtle Beach, friends saw quite a bit more. I’m hoping everyone stayed safe and warm, and that those who lost power are now cozy and back up and running.

With all that winter chill outside, everything inside the Attic feels wrapped in love — the cozy kind, the joyful kind, and the kind that shows up in the sweetest little ways.

First, I have to tell you about Déogee the Puppy. 🐶 (Pronounced D-O-G.)
His brand-new crochet pattern will be releasing on Valentine’s Day, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he is too cute for words. Déogee is full of floppy-eared charm and loyal-puppy love — the kind that reminds us how special it feels to be someone’s favorite. I know so many of you are going to fall head-over-heels for him.

At the same time, I’ve been quietly finishing up a brand-new story character named Valentina — a gentle ballerina with a kind heart and a reminder that love often shows up through patience, grace, and small brave steps. You’ll be meeting her very soon.

And on a personal note, February is bringing a little extra joy my way — I’ll be heading to Florida for a wedding, celebrating love in the sunshine, which feels like the perfect way to welcome this heart-filled season.

All of this is leading into something I’ve been building with so much care: a new Storybook Club, where stories, printables, and cozy moments come together each month. Enrollment will be opening soon, and I can’t wait to share more.

For now, just know this — the Attic is full of love, puppies, stories, and hopeful plans.

Blessings from the Attic,
Nana Dawn
